Hello MMO — Weekly New MMO Review

During the past week, I guess all of the players have been impressed by one or more new mmos in this hot summer season. Here in our new column, we are going to make a list of the weekly Top 10 new mmos to convey the latest information and game trends for you. Let’s just come to the point.

No.10  MechWarrior Online

MechWarrior Online is a real-time game where one day in the real world is equal to one day in the game. January 1, 2012 is equal to January 1, 3049. You, will take the role of piloting BattleMechs, and can align themselves with one of the Great Houses, form their own Mercenary Corporation, or play as a lone wolf. Of note for this particular timeline in the MechWarrior universe is the impending arrival of the Clans upon the Inner Sphere Houses. Now that this robot war has announced beta schedule, get yourself ready to take control of a huge giant! What’s more, there’s even a Mech Lab for customization of the MechWarriors, go design your giant and fire the MechWarrior Universe.

NO.9    End of Nations

The world is at peace — until unexpected financial collapse sweeps standing governments from control. Amid anarchy and terrorism, the United Nations restores order and takes over much of the world under their new name: the Order of Nations. Two groups, the Liberation Front and the Shadow Revolution, rise to fight to topple the Order of Nations, and each other. Chaos reigns. Fight for freedom or fight for control. This is the End of Nations.You can still grasp this opportunity to get a closed beta key to take part in this battle against the enemy.

What makes hero units and mercenary companies so unique in the Free-to-Play online military strategy game End of Nations? Their capacity to wield special strategic and combative abilities across the field of battle, for one. End of Nations’ newest Developer Diary video “In the Company of Heroes and Mercenaries” explains and demonstrates how these special units can be the key to overcoming any adversaries on the battlefield.

NO.8   ArcheAge

In the ancient days, our ancestors used to live on a highly civilized continent, but they had to flee to East and West without a reason we know about. In ArcheAge, you begin playing two thousand years later, and you must find the cause of that big disaster, while simultaneously quenching your curiosity, enjoying the game and exploring the world. In the beginning of the development, XLGames has invited a well known Korean novelist Min Hee Jun to write the storyline. So we can expect a quite interesting quest line with special stories in the open world.

ArcheAge’s new features up for testing are being highlighted one by one. The game introduces the Mirage Island, a location where palyers will be able to window shop and preview different sorts of items. And players will enjoy the customization systems to design their own characters.

NO.7    Dark Blood

Dark Blood, the thrilling new free-to-play hardcore action RPG arcade brawler published by Outspark for North America and Europe, had a midnight launch of their open beta recently. The game received good feedbacks from the players and Drak Blood unleashed two content updatess, one with level cap raised, another is Zombie Apocalypse with Act III.

NO.6 Dungeon Striker

If you are familiar with Dragon Nest, I guess you may hear of Eyedentity Games’ Dungeon Striker which is known for its Diablo style and cute version of Dragon Nest. Made its debut on April 5th, Dungeon Striker finished its CBT 1 at the end of April and received good reaction. Now DS has fixed most of the problems and bugs in CBT 1 and will start CBT 2 on August 31st,2012. Five new advanced classes have been released for CBT 2.

NO.5   Knight Age

Mounted combat seems all the rage these days. If you’re looking for something cuter than LoTRO, Joymax is offering up Knight Age, what they call a fantasy riding MMORPG. It’s been in closed beta, but the doors will open to anyone on August 28th. Joymax unveiled a slew of exciting open beta events for Knight Age. Collect different mounts, each with unique abilities, raise pets, participate in pvp. And win prizes!

Red 5 Studios is still making a number of sweeping changes to Firefall as beta continues, the dev diaries always bring gamers closer to the game. No matter the milestone sneak peek for each class, or the official manga, we can tell this is a game full of efforts from the designers. Red 5 Studios has also announced a special eSports Toolkit for Firefall. The eSports Toolkit brings competitive gaming to the next level with unique spectator modes and streamlined shoutcaster controls. An unique shooter game with overall update, is that what you’re looking for?
 

NO.3   RaiderZ

RaiderZ come into its closed beta last week, Perfect World Entertainment announced the official beginning of this highly anticipated free monster hunting MMORPG. You can not only fight against all kinds of fierce monsters with the weapons made by yoruself, but also experiencing the world with lot of special systems, like crafting system, transforming system ,dinner and musical systems, etc.

NO.2   Blade & Soul

Not a sound was heard for Sea B&S, but luckily we can still keep our eyes on Korea and China’s game trends. After commercialization in Korea, B&S still get its leading place in Korean game industry. And after its debut in ChinaJoy, B&S has unveiled its secrets to the Chinese gamers and the first close beta will be held on 16th August. There’s even sky high price for buying activation keys for CBT 1 in China.

NO.1  Guild Wars 2

Guild Wars 2 has been known for all the gamers for a long time, even though it hasn’t been officially released yet. Are you impressed by the last stress test of Guild Wars2 ? As the news of GW2 catching more and more attention, interested gamers must have taken their own journeys to the fantasy world. We can see all kinds of different anticipation and experience of GW2, like GW2 – Summons: Just You, Me And WHA?! or GW2 BWE3 PvP Analysis: Fury Rising. There’s no doubt that GW2 has sweapt MMO market this year, let’s just wait and see how far it will go on this crowded road.
