Equipment Leveling In most of the RPG and MMORPG, players all have their favorite equipment, but even if they like one equipment very much, once there got more powerful equipment, they only have to abandon the old and replace them with new powerful equipment. So there may raise such a question that whether there exist one way that can make our favorite equipment be used by us forever? The Equipment Leveling System finally helps us! This system allows players to keep their favorite equipment useful by upgrading/leveling them. RO2 equipment can be separated into two categories: leveling equipment and non-leveling equipment. Leveling equipment, named as general, is able to upgrade. It would acquire experience when used and upgrade is available once the equipment's experience bar reaches 100%. Non-leveling equipment is unable to upgrade as well as acquiring experience. The table below shows the details of these two types of equipment.
All of the following gear is considered to be the leveling equipment: weapons, shields, gloves, "upper" clothing, and shoes. The rest - "lower" clothing, garments, belts and accessories - are considered to be the non-leveling type. Once the leveling equipment is identified you would not be able to trade it with others. Leveling equipment are just like the game characters, they can acquire experience by beating monsters or doing quests. What's different is that when the character experience reaches 100% (s)he will level up at once and your character's abilities will be enhanced, instead the leveling equipment should be taken to the Blacksmith NPC and spend some money to upgrade when the experience bar reaches 100%. They won't level up on their own. The equipment's stats will be increased randomly based on its growth rate. The growth rate simply determines which stats are more likely to increase when the piece of equipment levels. For example, Sword Stick's growth rate focuses on Magic Attack, so the stats of the equipment's magic damage will be increased at a much higher rate than other stats such as physical damage. Equipments are separated into three classes: C-class, B-class, and A-class. Each class has a max level that your equipment can reach. Once it reaches its max level, you must use a special equipment combination item in order to upgrade it to the next class. When this happens, you can either choose to keep the equipment's features, or you can opt to change the equipment's name, shape, special ability, and growth rate changes. Only the stats remain the same. You can refer to the weapon growth talbes. An example of this that's been given is that the C-class weapon, "Ellr's Knife," which focuses on both melee and magic power, can be upgraded into the B-class weapon when it reaches lv20, "Kris of Thorns," which has a new growth rate focus on phy critical rate. So this weapon totaly has melee power, magic power and phy critical rate. The max level of every class is as follows:
